What happens after I have downloaded a trial licence?

The trial licence comes with a project so that you can use ContingencyEstimator. If you try to import or start a new project you will be prompted to purchase a full licence. If you decide to make a purchase then select the number of projects from the relevant icons above and follow the prompts.

I do not want to pay online through PayPal. What alternatives do I have?

You may purchase a licence by sending a purchase order with your requirements to Purchase@Risktools.com.au. We will send you an invoice with details so that you can send us a direct credit. Once we have received payment we will send you a licence number to enter into ContingencyEstimator.

If I buy a single licence how do I then purchase additional projects and are they cumulative?

At any time you may upgrade your trial licence or increase the number of projects. You need only to click on and pay for the number of projects you require. For instance you may buy 1 project and then purchase a further 5 projects. You will then be licenced for 1+5 = 6 projects. Purchase of projects is cumulative.

If I buy a 5 user licence how do I then purchase additional licences and are they cumulative?

If you decide to upgrade from (say) 5 to 10 users then you will only need to pay the difference in the licence cost (in this example $1,100 less previous payment for 5 licences $660 – additional cost $440).

When downloading:

  • You may need to temporarily switch off your anti-virus software. For more information on why this is required see the following link.
  • Windows may also show a warning but if you go to “Other information” (or similar icon) there is an alternative that says “Run anyway” which should be used.
  • When opening ContingencyEstimator you will be asked to log on. The user name is RTCE and the password is 123. You can subsequently change the password.
  • ContingencyEstimator is downloaded with a trial mode licence and built in (play pen) project. This will enable you to add a value range for quantities and rates, run a simulation and print off reports.
